Are you Responsibly Responsive ?

I made my first responsive design almost 3.5 years back. Many people are in impression that it is new invention or it is an outcome of some CSS Frame works like Twitter bootstrap or LESS.

I heard people often saying :

Responsive Design is the ultimate solution for the Mobile Device and we have to use Bootstrap or other framework to make website responsive.

Seriously…?

Just check history for Responsive Web Design (RWD). The technique of adapting a site’s layout to a device’s display was first written about by Cameron Adams in 2004.

RWD got in more focus when an article published in A List Apart – Responsive Web Design by Ethan Marcotte May 25, 2010.

So, what is RWD?

RWD is an approach to web design aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones).

A site designed with RWD adapts the layout to the viewing environment by using fluid, proportion-based grids, flexible images, and CSS3 media queries, an extension of the @media rule, in the following ways:
